FAQ | Shine Pro Cleaning Pittsburgh

Question 1

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

No — most of our clients aren't home. You can leave a key, use a lockbox, or provide a door code. Our team is background-checked and insured, so you can trust us with access to your home.

Question 2

How do I book a cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Book online at pghshinepro.com/book — it takes under 60 seconds. Choose your service, enter your home size, and pick a date. No phone call required.

Question 3

Do I need a contract?

Accepted Answer

No contracts, ever. You can book one-time or set up recurring service and cancel anytime. We earn your business every visit.

Question 4

What's your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a small fee to cover the cleaner's reserved time.

Question 5

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We bring everything — professional-grade cleaning products, vacuums, mops, and microfiber cloths. All supplies are included in the price. If you have a preferred product for a specific surface, just let us know.

Question 6

What's the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?

Accepted Answer

A standard clean covers all the regular maintenance — vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, and trash. A deep clean goes further: baseboards, ceiling fans, inside cabinets, detailed grout scrubbing, and areas that don't get attention in a regular clean. We recommend a deep clean for first-time clients or properties that haven't been cleaned in a while.

Question 7

How long does a cleaning take?

Accepted Answer

A standard clean for a 1–2 bedroom home typically takes 1.5–2.5 hours. Deep cleans and move-out cleans take longer — usually 3–5 hours depending on size and condition. Airbnb turnovers for a 1–2 BR are usually done in under 2 hours.

Question 8

Do you clean if I have pets?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We love pets and are experienced with pet hair, dander, and the extra attention those homes need. Just let us know about your pets when you book so we can plan accordingly.

Question 9

Are your cleaners insured and background-checked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Shine Pro cleaner is fully insured, bonded, and has passed a background check before their first job. We're also AHCA Cornerstone certified.

Question 10

What if I'm not happy with the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

We stand behind our work with the Shine Pro Promise: if anything isn't right, tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-clean it at no charge. No questions, no hassle.

Question 11

How do I pay, and when am I charged?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed after your cleaning is complete — not before. You'll receive a receipt by email.

Question 12

Do you offer discounts for recurring service?

Accepted Answer

Yes — recurring clients save up to 15%. Weekly service saves 15%, bi-weekly saves 10%, and monthly saves 5%. Discounts apply automatically when you set up a recurring schedule.

Question 13

What areas of Pittsburgh do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve the Pittsburgh metro area within approximately 15 miles of Downtown — including Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, the South Side, Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park, and more. Not sure if we reach you? Use the ZIP checker on our homepage or contact us.

Question 14

Do you clean Airbnb properties on same-day turnarounds?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's our specialty. We build our schedule around your checkout calendar and can handle tight same-day windows. Just let us know your checkout and check-in times when you book.
